The Himalayan bodh Women's Co-op. Ind. Society Ltd. is a registered non-government, non-profitable organisation working for the welfare of handicraft artisans and handloom weavers in the tribal region of Western Indian Himalaya. This organisation was registered on 30th August, 2001 with the share of state government by the group of tribal women with the aim of creating and sustaining employment for these poor and backward tribal area ( Ladakh, Zanskar, Spiti, Himachal valleys). We have been in this trade for the last 10 years and have been conducting business as old as history. Since our inception, we have acquired the experience to satisfy our clients and to provide to them innovative and high quality products at affordable prices within time period.
Our organization is working to increase the demand for its handmade products by marketing globally, participating in various international trade fairs, buyer seller meetings, e-marketing etc. Our organization is specialize in the manufacturing of hi-quality authentic handicrafts and Handlooms items. Our artisan have rich sense of pride in their work and have always strived to produce the very finest of hand made products. And also, we heartly encouraging the eco-friendly products by using natural fibre, vegetable color dye, saving energy “not using power looms” only hand weaving techniques “Our organization has adopted various measures and techniques to provide high quality and eco-friendly products to the world market”, and our organization is also evolved in many environmental activities.
Our organization production team consisting of designers, tie and dye artisans and network of 800 weavers led by its 5 executive members and ably supported by each associate member's family.
Our products:-
1. Handloom (Hand-woven) : Apparel Fabrics, Readymade Garments, Shawls, Stoles, Scarves, home furnishing. The material we use is Pure Wool, Pashmina, Silk, Agora Wool, and Vegetables colour dye.
2. Handicrafts: Silver Jewellery decorated with semi precious stones, Resin Jewellery, Woodcarving furniture, and Buddhist ritual items.
3. Hand-knitted : Caps, Socks, Scarves, Mufflers, and Gloves. The Material we use i wool and Angora wool and Vegetables colour dye.
4. Hand-knotted : Tibetan Carpets, Rugs, Designer Carpets, Classic Carpets, and Traditional Carpets. The Material we use is Wool, Pashmina, Silk, and Vegetable dye. Our carpets are available in different sizes, motifs and colors.

All processes are 100% by hand and no machinery is involved in the making of our products. |
